CARBONDALE – Due to construction at the new Southern Illinois Multimodal Station, the City of Carbondale says the Carbondale Amtrak parking lot is temporarily closed.
If you use this parking lot, there is free parking located across the street at the City Hall parking lot, located on the northwest corner of U.S. 51 North and Illinois 13 East. This closure will last for three weeks, but the drop-off/pick-up lane in front of the Amtrak station will remain open.
The City will post updates on its social media as well as make a formal announcement once it reopens.
