NBA Playoffs: Cavaliers defeat Boston to even series, Mavericks beat Thunder in Game 2

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 118-94 in Game 2 on Thursday to even their Eastern Conference semifinal series at 1-1.

Donovan Mitchell led the Cavs with 29 points, while Evan Mobley had 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists, Darius Garland added 14 points, and Caris LeVert scored 21 to help bring Cleveland the victory.

Game 3 will take place in Cleveland on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. EST.

The Dallas Mavericks beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-110 in their Game 2 matchup on Thursday at the Paycom Center to even their series at one game apiece.

P.J. Washington had 29 points, with 11 rebounds and two steals, with Luka Dončić battled through pain to score 29 more points, with 10 rebounds and seven assists in the win. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 33 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists, and Jalen Williams added 20 points for the Thunder, who lost for the first time in the postseason.

The Mavericks will host Game 3 on Saturday against the Thunder in Dallas.
