CARBONDALE – An investigation by Carbondale Police into a recent motor vehicle burglary has led to the arrest of two juveniles.
According to Carbondale Police, around 11:20 Friday night, officers responded to a parking lot in the 900 block of East Park Street regarding a report of a possible auto burglary in progress by a group of several juveniles.
The suspects fled the area but officers eventually located and arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male for burglary to a motor vehicle and resisting a peace officer, and a 16-year-old juvenile male for burglary to a motor vehicle and criminal trespass to a vehicle.
Both juveniles are from Carbondale and were released to their families after conferring with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office.
Carbondale Police continue to investigate.
