CARMI – An Albion woman was lodged in the White County Jail after officers responded to a report of a man getting struck by a car on 5th and Sycamore Street in Carmi around 9:20 Saturday night.
According to Carmi Police, 51-year-old Jerry Wayne Lamont of Carmi was flown to a hospital. After further investigation, 57-year-old Donna Lynn Lamont of Albion was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident causing great bodily harm/injuries. She was booked into the White County jail until she could see a judge.
Police determined that Jerry Lamont had jumped onto her vehicle at 709 Maple St. after an argument. He remained on the vehicle until falling off at Sycamore and 7th streets.
