Search of Mt. Vernon Home Leads to Three Drug-related Arrests

MT. VERNON – Three people are in the Jefferson County Jail following their arrests Thursday on drug-related offenses.
According to the Mt. Vernon Police Department, early Thursday morning, the Mt. Vernon Police/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team served a search warrant on a home at 2228 College in Mt. Vernon.
The search warrant was obtained after an investigation by members of the Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit previously purchased quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl from the home.
A total of eight people were located inside the home. After interviewing the suspects at the home, three people, all residents, were taken into custody.
A search of the home located amounts of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and drug equipment.
Thirty-eight-year-old Christopher B. Williams was arrested on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), while 29-year-old Cole A. Swan was arrested on charges of Aggravated Delivery of Methamphetamine and Possession of Less than Five Grams of Methamphetamine.
Swan was additionally charged with Aggravated Delivery of Methamphetamine 5-15 grams, Delivery of Methamphetamine Less than Five Grams, and Delivery of Fentanyl.
The additional charges stem from controlled buys during which Swan sold illegal narcotics to a source of the narcotics division.
Swan remains under investigation for illegal narcotics sales and additional charges are expected.
Twenty-four-year-old Deja C. Hill was arrested on a $30,000 Jefferson County warrant charging her with failure to appear on a Possession of Methamphetamine case.
