Driver Cited after Meth Found in Vehicle at Williamson County Traffic Stop

MARION – A man was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies pulled him over for committing several traffic and equipment violations around 10:50 p.m. Sunday.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, when the traffic stop was conducted, a K9 was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle. The K9 provided a positive alert to odor of narcotics.

Further investigation located a bag containing a white crystalline substance which later field tested positive for Methamphetamine.

The driver, identified as Charles D. Scott, was cited for possessing meth. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail.
