BENTON – IDOT says Illinois 34 will be closed between Akin Blacktop Road east of Benton and Illinois 149 in Thompsonville for five weekends, weather permitting, starting Friday so drainage structures can be replaced.
The closures will start Friday at 6 p.m. and are expected to be open by 6 a.m. Monday.
A detour will be in place including signs and message boards to direct motorists.
