Woman Wanted on Warrant Found Hiding in Marion Attic, Cited for Drug Offenses

MARION – A woman has been cited for drug-related offenses after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies recently went to a Marion home to serve an arrest warrant on her and found her hiding in the attic.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, this happened around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 24 on Stanley Lane in Marion.
The home is known to law enforcement for having lots of drug activity.
Deputies acting on a confidential source had received information that Tanya M. Robinson was staying at the residence.
Upon arrival deputies surrounded the home and established contact with the homeowner who confirmed Robinson was upstairs.
Deputies, led by Sheriff Jeff Diederich, went inside the home, made a protective sweep of the first floor, and proceeded upstairs.
Once upstairs, they discovered sleeping quarters in the southwestern corner of the second floor. The room had been partitioned by a blanket hung from the ceiling.
In plain view on the nightstand next to the bed drug paraphernalia, several plastic bags containing a white crystalline substance that later field tested positive for Methamphetamine, and Schedule 4 narcotics were discovered.
As the search for Robinson continued, it became apparent that Robinson had concealed herself inside the attic.
Deputies discovered Robinson hiding in the far corner of the unfinished attic space and began issuing verbal commands for her to come out and surrender.
Robinson eventually got out of the attic and was taken into custody without further incident.
Robinson was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant for Failure to Appear – Driving Without a License. She was additionally cited for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance
Robinson was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
