Fentanyl Capsules Seized, Woman Rescued during Marion Narcotics Operation

MARION – A Marion man is facing multiple drug charges after Marion Police carried out a narcotics-related search warrant Wednesday in the 1500 block of Champions Drive leading to a significant drug seizure and a life-saving medical intervention.

According to Police Chief David Fitts, during the operation, officers found an unconscious and unresponsive woman inside the home. They provided emergency medical aid until she could be taken to the hospital.

In addition to the medical emergency, the search yielded over 200 fentanyl capsules, a quantity of cocaine, and various distribution materials including scales, baggies, and other drug paraphernalia.

The homeowner, 47-year-old Levi A. Dixon, was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Violation of Pretrial Release (Previous arrests for Possession of Fentanyl, Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia.

Marion Police continue to investigate.
