MARION – No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash on southbound I-57 at milepost 47 in Williamson County around 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
According to Illinois State Police, 24-year-old Samuel H. Smith of North Augusta, SC, was driving his vehicle in the left lane as 21-year-old Abigail M. Panto of Middlebury, IN, was driving her vehicle in the right lane.
Smith merged into the right lane to pass another vehicle and struck Panto’s vehicle.
