CAIRO – A death investigation is underway in Cairo after a female was found dead in her home in the 2000 block of Elm Street Sunday afternoon according to Illinois State Police.
Cairo Police requested special agents from ISP’s Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 7 to conduct the investigation, which is in its early stages.
ISP says no further information is available at this time.
