MT. VERNON – The City of Mt. Vernon says a contractor will be performing maintenance work on a main water transmission line from the Rend Lake Conservancy District Monday.
The city doesn’t anticipate any issues, but there is a possibility that this work could result in a citywide boil water order.
More updates will be made by the city as soon as more information becomes available.
