Firearms and Cannabis Found at Carbondale Traffic Stop, Two Arrested

CARBONDALE – Two men were arrested late Saturday night after firearms and cannabis were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop for a moving violation in the 500 block of West Freeman Street in Carbondale.

Carbondale Police say 20-year-old Henry Dolmon of Cordova, TN, possessed one of the guns while 18-year-old Corey M. Trap Jr. of Kankakee possessed the other. Trapp was also in possession of an illegal amount of suspected cannabis.

Police charged Dolman with Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Trapp with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of Cannabis. Both men were lodged in the Jackson County Jail pending a detention hearing.

The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Brayden A. Taylor of Carbondale, was issued citations for Improper Lane Usage and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. He was released pending a court appearance.
