Parolee Faces Multiple Charges after Home Invasion and Police Chase in McLeansboro

MCLEANSBORO – A man is facing several charges after he took a dog from a home he allegedly broke into and then was involved in a chase with law enforcement in McLeansboro early Monday morning.

According to McLeansboro Police, they received a call from a woman saying she had an Order of Protection on Lucas Faber who was recently released on parole from prison for violating that order. The woman also said she watched Faber on her Ring camera walk inside her home.

Prior to McLeansboro Police arriving at the scene, a Hamilton County deputy saw the reported vehicle Faber was in trying to leave the area. The deputy tried stopping Faber, but he refused and a chase began. Faber struck a McLeansboro Police vehicle on two separate occasions and returned to the home he broke into. Faber resisted arrest and was tased. He was taken safely into custody and lodged in the White County Jail for Home Invasion, Violations of Order of Protection, Residential Burglary, Theft, Resisting Arrest, Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding and dozens of other traffic violations. He was also found to have an active Illinois Department of Corrections warrant.
