Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest in Marion

MARION – Two people were cited – and one arrested – after a Williamson County Sheriff’s K-9 alerted to the smell of narcotics coming from their vehicle during a recent traffic stop near the intersection of Carbon and Deyoung streets in Marion.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies stopped the vehicle around 9:25 p.m. last Wednesday. Following a lawful search, Ann M. Bryant was found in possession of  methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. She was cited for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The driver, Richard E. Bryant, was cited for Failure to Signal and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.

Ann Bryant was taken into custody and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
