JOHNSTON CITY – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the I-57 Herrin Road overpass in Johnston City for a large cow in the roadway around 8:30 Thursday morning.
Deputies found the wandering animal near the 1100 block of Prosperity Road. The cow escaped from a stock trailer while its owner was parked at a nearby gas station.
Deputies, along with Johnston City Police and local cattlemen, worked together to keep the cow away from the interstate and safely contained. They used a lasso and were able to capture the cow.
