Hamilton County EMA Director Resigns, Sheriff to Assume Duties for Now

MCLEANSBORO – Hamilton County’s Emergency Management Director has resigned.

The Hamilton County Board Tuesday night accepted Ashton Middendorf’s resignation that became effective Monday.

According to the Hamilton County Clerk’s office, Middendorf has taken a law enforcement position in Williamson County and will be going to the academy soon.

Middendorf’s duties will fall on Sheriff Tracy Lakin for now as the board did not have a replacement ready at Tuesday’s meeting.

It’s unknown at this time when a new director will be named.
