A man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after an apparent lightning strike at Rend Lake in Franklin County, Illinois. Emergency crews responded to Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park yesterday just after 3pm, as strong thunderstorms moved through the area. When they arrived, they found the injured man. The man was taken to an area hospital for treatment, and his condition has not been released.
