MT. VERNON – Illinois State Police responded to a report of a traffic crash involving a semi and a car around 4:25 Friday afternoon on northbound I-57 at milepost 90 near Mt. Vernon.
When troopers arrived, they determined the incident only involved a semi that had struck a concrete barrier. No injuries were reported. Both lanes were closed and reopened about an hour later.
