CARMI – A traffic stop Saturday afternoon at East Main and East First streets in Carmi resulted in the arrest of a Carmi man on a drug charge.
According to Carmi Police, officers stopped a vehicle for littering and identified 38-year-old Dustin R. Grant as a passenger. Grant was arrested and charged with Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. He was also cited for littering.
Grant was taken to the White County Jail and later released on pretrial conditions.
The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not released, was cited for No Valid Insurance. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
