MARION – Pirate Pete’s Family Entertainment Center in Marion has announced it will close its location at the former Illinois Star Centre Mall at the end of March.
In a post on social media, the owner said the closure is due to the lease expiring, with no option to renew. Pirate Pete’s has operated at the mall since opening there in September 2009.
The owner thanked the community for its continued support over the years, noting that without it, the business would not have lasted as long as it did.
Customers who still have unused tickets are encouraged to redeem them before March 31.
However, there may be good news ahead. The owner says plans to move to another location are being finalized, and updates will be shared on the Pirate Pete’s Facebook page.
