Pooh Shiesty has shared his first song since being released from prison in October, the TP808-produced “FDO”. On the new song, the Memphis rapper shouts out a number of contemporaries n- including Lil Wayne, former collaborator Lil Durk, and Kendrick Lamar.
In addition to the song drop, the music video for FDO was released. Directed by Cotto0verdidit, the video begins with a motivational message from his mother and scenes from the moment Shiesty walked free from prison. The visual also shows the artist celebrating his release, recording in studio, and popping a bottle of champagne. See the video for “FDO” – HERE.
Shortly after the release of Shiesty Season in 2021, the 26-year-old rapper – born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr. – was arrested after an alleged altercation at a Miami nightclub. At the time, he was already facing robbery and firearms charges stemming from a 2020 incident in which he and two associates allegedly shot and robbed two people. Pooh Shiesty was indicted on federal charges, including conspiracy to possess firearms in furtherance of violent crime, Hobbs Act robbery conspiracy, and discharging a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. He eventually pled guilty to one federal count of conspiracy to possess a firearm and was sentenced to five years in prison, of which he served three (he received credit for time served after he pleaded guilty to the firearm conspiracy charge.).
