CARBONDALE – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alcohol-related crash that happened early New Year’s Day in rural Carbondale.
Around 5:15 a.m. Thursday, a pickup truck crashed into several trees on Laurelwood Lane and North County Line Road. Deputies found the truck heavily damaged, and no one was found at the scene. Deputies discovered open alcohol containers inside the truck and tracked the crash’s cellphone signal to a nearby home, where they found Ebony A. Bradley-Farr. She became belligerent and uncooperative when deputies tried to investigate.
Bradley-Farr, who had multiple warrants, continued to make false 911 calls, leading to her arrest for False Alarm/Complaint to 911 and Resisting/Obstructing a Peach Officer. Deputies could not arrest her for the warrants because they were from another jurisdiction and had court issued geographical limitations placed on them. Bradley-Farr was taken to the Williamson County Jail. The crash remains under investigation.
The incident follows a similar one on Dec. 9 of last year, when Bradley-Farr resisted law enforcement during a search warrant execution on Twin Lakes Road in Carterville. She was charged with multiple offenses in that case as well.
