BENTON – Two teens were killed in a late Saturday night crash on Rend City Road near Keller Mine Road in Franklin County.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies found the driver, a 16-year-old juvenile male, and his 17-year-old juvenile male passenger dead at the scene. They were both from Franklin County.
The crash remains under investigation.
One person was taken to a local hospital with injuries following a crash involving a semi and a car just after 11 Saturday morning on southbound I-57 near West City.
According to Illinois State Police, one lane was shut down for an extended period of time.
