Cocaine Found during Williamson County Traffic Stop, Woman Arrested

MARION – A woman was arrested after deputies found cocaine in her vehicle following a traffic stop late Saturday night in Williamson County.

According to the sheriff’s office, Crystal B. Bauer was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine) along with Driving while License Revoked and Suspended Registration. She was taken to and lodged in the Williamson County Jail.

Deputies stopped Bauer just before 11 p.m. on Illinois 148 south of Marion after a computer check showed her vehicle had suspended registration and that she had a revoked driver’s license.

While conducting an inventory of the vehicle, deputies located a clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance which later field tested positive for cocaine.
