MARION – Marion Mayor Mike Absher was the winner of The Southern Illinois Salvation Army’s recent “Mayoral Bell Ringing Challenge – bringing in $1,779.02 in just two hours.
Carbondale Mayor Carolin Harvey and Harrisburg Mayor John McPeek also participated.
Close to $2,800 was raised during the event.
