SESSER – Illinois State Fire Marshal Deputy Director Allen Reyne recently presented a proclamation to the family of Sesser Fire Chief Michael Rasnic, who passed away in August.
Rasnic served the fire department for 45 years.
He joined the fire department in 1981 and rose through the ranks to become Assistant Fire Chief in 2007, then Fire Chief in 2016.
Chief Rasnic took pride in serving and protecting the Sesser community by obtaining numerous certifications throughout his career.
