UPDATE 11:36 a.m.
VIENNA – The City of Vienna says a water main located behind the water treatment plant failed overnight causing a citywide water outage.
According to a city social media post, the failure resulted in the total loss of the contents of the water tower and the ability to pump water to the city.
The line has been repaired and crews are beginning to refill system lines and the water tower.
It will take several hours before the system can be refilled and pressure is returned to normal.
A boil water order remain in place until further notice.

VIENNA – Vienna Police say due to a break at the water plant, the entire town is without water service at this time.
Crews are working to resolve the issue. When service resumes, everyone will be under a boil water order.
Currently, there is no estimated time for service restoration.
The Johnson County Courthouse is also closed until further notice, but the sheriff’s office remains open.
