SPRINGFIELD – State Representative Patrick Windhorst is inviting amateur and professional photographers to take part in his annual “Southern Illinois is Beautiful” photo contest. This will be the third year for the contest, which has drawn hundreds of submissions and thousands of votes from Southern Illinois residents.
Windhorst says there are two categories again this year.
Photo submissions must include the photographers name and the location of the photo in Southern Illinois. Three finalists will be chosen in each category, and voting will be open on the representatives official Facebook page (@staterepwindhorst) on Tuesday, Nov. 11. Voting will close on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. Finalist photos will be made available on his official Facebook page for voting.
Windhorst is inviting all to participate and celebrate the beauty of Southern Illinois.
