High Risk Team Arrests Texico Man on Firearms and Drug Charges

MT. VERNON – The Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team executed a search warrant at a home in the 17000 block of East Tea Rose Road in Texico early Wednesday morning and arrested the resident on gun and drug charges.

According to the sheriff’s office, the warrant for illegal firearms was issued as a result of a sheriff’s office investigation. Several pieces of criminal evidence were collected and secured.

Forty-six-year-old Jack R. Heinrich was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of an Altered Firearm by a Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Felon, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Jefferson County Jail.
