METROPOLIS – A scam involving next weekend’s Fort Massac Encampment has been brought to the attention of the Greater Metropolis Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Officials say that an email has been received by many saying the event is accepting vendors due to last minute cancellations. That information is false.
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is the only vendor coordinator for this event. Only those approved by IDNR will be allowed to be vendors at this event. Do not send money to anyone claiming to sell vendor space.
