According to Capitol News Illinois, Pritzker faced sharp criticism from Illinois Republicans last week when he said Trump’s rhetoric has fueled political violence following the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Illinois Republican Rep. Adam Niemerg filed articles of impeachment against Pritzker alleging the governor has stoked political violence.

Pritzker said Monday he has only called for peaceful protests of Republicans, pointing out members of both parties have been victims of violence.
