LAKE OF EGYPT – Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Thursday for stealing several brass fittings, valued at more than $19,000, from the Lake of Egypt Water District last month.

According to the sheriff’s office, Shawn D. Quertermous was lodged in the Williamson County Jail on a felony Burglary charge.
Deputies responded to a burglary report at Lake of Egypt Water at 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 19 and were told about the stolen brass fittings that were found later that day in a wooded area near the water district.
Sheriff’s investigators on Aug. 21 captured pictures of Quertermous entering the property to collect the stolen items.
A Williamson County judge signed a nationwide arrest warrant for Quertermous for Burglary on Sept. 3 leading to his arrest Thursday.
