MARION – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office estimates that 1,000 people gathered Sunday night to honor the life of late conservative commentator and founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk, at Tower Square Plaza in Marion.

The sheriff’s office along with Marion Police and other law enforcement partners were in attendance to keep everyone safe at the event.
The 31-year-old Kirk was fatally shot Wednesday by 22-year-old Tyler Robinson while leading a campus speaking tour at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.
A memorial service for Kirk will be held Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
