ENFIELD – A shooting investigation is underway in White County.
White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss says a report came in from dispatch at 10:30 Wednesday night regarding gunshots fired at a home on East Johnson Street in Enfield.
Deputies with help from the Carmi and Enfield police departments responded. They cleared the home and the immediate area. No suspects were found. Those inside the home were not injured. Two bullet holes were found. One was located on the home’s exterior and the other on a vehicle located there.
The Illinois State Police Crime Lab was notified and responded to process the scene. A signed complaint was obtained from the homeowner. There are no suspects at this time.
