Buckner Man Arrested after Meth Discovered at Traffic Stop

WEST CITY – A Buckner man is lodged in the Franklin County Jail after meth was found during a traffic stop by Illinois State Police in West City early Wednesday morning.

According to Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon, 47-year-old Randall J. Stanton Jr. was pulled over at 1 a.m. and the trooper requested a K-9. A sheriff’s office K-9 arrived and made a positive alert on the outside of the vehicle. A search produced an amount of substance that field tested positive for meth.

As a result, Stanton was arrested on felony charges for Possession of Methamphetamine 15-100 grams, Possession of Methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, and two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance.
