CARBONDALE – A 15-year-old male juvenile is set for to appear in court for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon after Carbondale Police saw him with part of a gun protruding from his open backpack Monday afternoon and arrested him without incident in the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.
Police were able to recover the gun. Ammunition was also recovered from the backpack.
The juvenile was released to a family member.
