MT. VERNON – Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies Sunday arrested a 17-year-old juvenile for attempting to break into vehicles parked at the Mt. Vernon Gun and Sportsman Club on North Miller Lake Lane.
Deputies responded to look for the suspect, but they had already left.
Deputies later found the suspect vehicle near the intersection of Liberty Road and Shawnee Street with occupants inside and the juvenile driving. The juvenile was identified as the one who broke into the vehicles at the club with the intent to commit a theft. The juvenile was arrested for burglary, processed, and turned over to a guardian.
