Two Mt. Vernon Men Arrested on Gun Charges after Shooting Incident on Conger Avenue

MT. VERNON – Two men have been arrested on gun-related charges in connection with a shooting that happened in the 700 block of Conger in Mt. Vernon just after 8:30 Thursday night.

Mt. Vernon Police say 40-year-old Eric Nabors of Mt. Vernon and 18-year-old Korinthian Davis of Mt. Vernon are charged with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. Nabors is also charged with Possession of a Firearm by Repeat Felony Offender and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Police say no one was injured and no property damage was found. Evidence from the shooting was collected.

The Mt. Vernon Police Department/Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office High Risk Team carried out a search warrant Friday in the 1100 block of South 13th Street. Two firearms were recovered and the two men were arrested and charged.
