CARBONDALE – One person suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment following an early Saturday morning shooting in the 400 block of North Washington Street.
According to Carbondale Police, officers went to the hospital around 3:40 a.m. and spoke with the gunshot victim. The victim told police he had gathered with others on North Washington when the shooting happened. The victim said the motive for the shooting appeared to be the result of a recent dispute between the victim and some known acquaintances.
