VIENNA – Two people were injured and had to be flown to a local hospital for treatment after the ramp of a semi-trailer fell off and hit a motorcycle around 8:50 Friday morning on eastbound I-24 near Vienna.
According to Illinois State Police, it’s not known why the ramp fell off. The left lane of eastbound I-24 was closed around 9:25 a.m. Traffic was temporarily diverted to U.S. 45 at exit 14. The on-ramp opened back up at 10:15 a.m.
ISP continues to investigate. No further information is available.
