MURPHYSBORO – Jackson County Animal and Rabies Control is asking for your help in addressing stray animals in the county.
If you see a loose dog or cat, please don’t pick it up. Leave it where it is, take a picture of it and report it to Animal Control. You may also share the picture on local social media pages to help find the owner.
If you choose to pick up a stray animal, please understand that you assume legal responsibility for its care and well-being. Due to limited space in the Animal Control facility, officials may not be able to take the animal from you.
Officials thank you for your help to keep the community safe for both animals and people.
