Two McLeansboro Residents Arrested for Cannabis Possession at Carmi Traffic Stop

CARMI – Two McLeansboro residents were arrested for having cannabis in their vehicle following a traffic stop in Carmi around 7:30 Friday night.

Carmi Police stopped the driver, 21-year-old Anthony S. Burgos, at Rock Bottom Liquor on West Main for suspended registration. He was arrested for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle along with Driving while License Revoked and Operating a Vehicle with Suspended Registration.

Burgos’ passenger, 36-year-old Natasha L. Gesick, was arrested for Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Passenger.

They were both issued Notices to Appear in White County Court Sept. 2 and were released from jail.
