Thirteen Arrested during Sheriff’s Community Impact Patrols in Herrin

HERRIN – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office made 13 arrests for various offenses during its Community Impact Patrols over the weekend in Herrin.

Sheriff Jeff Diederich says these patrols were carried out in direct response to ongoing citizen concerns about rising crime within the community.

The sheriff says these results show the immediate and positive impact of their patrols and restoring safety and accountability in Herrin.

Even though the sheriff’s office is focusing efforts in Herrin due to a recent surge in criminal activity, the sheriff says comprehensive patrol coverage will continue through the entire county ensuring that residents across both rural and municipal areas receive the same high level of safety and security.
