CARTERVILLE – John A. Logan College in Carterville broke ground Monday on its new $14.1 million Career and Technical Education Center.

The facility will house the college’s Welding, HVAC and Automotive programs.
The project is being funded in part by a $4.2 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration with matching funds committed by the college.
Construction will get underway immediately. The facility is expected to be finished by December of next year.
