Stolen Vehicle Stop in Herrin Leads to Animal Cruelty, Drug, and Stolen Credit Card Charges

HERRIN – Two people were cited after Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies spotted a stolen vehicle early Friday morning near 23rd Street and Herrin Road in Herrin. 

Deputies stopped the vehicle on Hafer Road and arrested the driver, April D. Watson, and her passenger, Daniel W. Morgan.

Drug paraphernalia, hypodermic syringes, credit cards belonging to other people and a puppy sealed in a rubber bag were found inside. The puppy was turned over to Williamson County Animal Control for treatment.

Watson was cited for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Another’s Credit Card and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Morgan was cited for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Animal Cruelty and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Morgan was also discovered to have an outstanding Franklin County arrest warrant for Methamphetamine Possession.

Watson and Morgan were lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
