Deputies Shut Down and Make Arrest at Colp Drug House

COLP – The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office shut down another drug house early Wednesday morning and arrested a man on drug-related charges.

Deputies executed a court authorized search warrant at a home and for the occupants in the 100 block of Lincoln Street in Colp that was the focus of an extensive investigation into a county-wide cocaine distribution network.

During the search, deputies located cocaine, hydrocodone pills, digital scales, packaging materials, packaging waste, cash, firearms ammunition, and other items commonly used in the packaging and delivery of illegal narcotics.

Deputies seized over $15,000 in cash and over $10,000 in other financial instruments pursuant to the Illinois Drug Asset Forfeiture Act. These assets were seized in connection to the ongoing narcotics investigation and are directly tied to the facilitation of illegal drug activity.

As a result of the investigation, Jacob R. Gottberg was taken into custody and cited for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Controlled Substance, Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of Ammunition without a Valid FOID, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Williamson County Jail.
