One Arrested, Another Sought in Carbondale Residential Burglary, Vehicle Theft

CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are looking for a suspect wanted on a warrant for Residential Burglary and Vehicle Theft.

Police say the incidents happened around 11:25 p.m. on July 8 in the 500 block of Deer Trail. They were notified about what happened on July 9.

Forty-three-year-old Brian K. Adams of Carbondale and 40-year-old Gerald D. Stroud of Vergennes were identified as the suspects. Stroud was found and arrested on July 9 in the 700 block of East Main Street. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail.

Police obtained an arrest warrant for Adams for Residential Burglary and Vehicle Theft. He may be in the O’Fallon, IL area.

Police recovered the vehicle and some of the victim’s property.
