SOUTHERN ILLINOIS – Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Paducah say dangerous heat and humidity will continue today into Wednesday.
An Extreme Heat Warning is now in effect until Wednesday evening for the entire area.
A cold front will bring a chance of thunderstorms Wednesday night through Thursday, followed by cooler and much less humid conditions for Friday and the weekend.
The heat and humidity will begin to creep upward early next week, along with a return of thunderstorm chances.
