WEST FRANKFORT – Denise Yvette Smith, 63, of West Frankfort, Illinois passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Herrin Hospital at 6:43 a.m.
Denise was born September 4, 1961, in Bremerton, Washington, to Charles and Joyce (Welch) Cunningham. She loved gardening, flowers, and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Kevin Cunningham.
Denise is survived by her husband, Gene Smith; and daughter, Angela Smith.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Denning Cemetery on the Orient Road.
There will be no visitation. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service.
The Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort is in charge of arrangements.
